Rosemary Rukweza
The longest serving female staff of CONNECT,Rosemary holds a Master of Science degree in Counselling (ZOU) and the title of her dissertation was “Why Women stay in abusive relationships”. She is also a CONNECT trained Family Therapist. In 2007, Rosemary trained with The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) of Uganda on Training of Trainers for Community Volunteers. She is a former chairperson of District AIDS Action Committee (DAAC) under NAC, the Northern District Harare Metropolitan province. She is also a registered Family Therapist with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe. Currently she is working as a Senior Training Officer and facilitates training in Systemic Family Therapy. She also provides counselling at the CONNECT clinic. She loves working with children, families, communities and workplace employees, with the main of promoting good mental health as well as helping clients with alcohol and substance abuse, parenting issues, marital conflicts, suicide and other family related stresses. Her preferred informing approaches are; Systemic, and Gestalt Existential Therapy approaches. She is currently studying towards a certificate in Supervision Internship with CONNECT.
